BAE Systems Quality Analyst in Radford, Virginia
The BAE Systems site in Radford, Virginia is seeking aQuality Analyst II.
In this role, the Quality Analyst will provide support to the Solvent Area Manufacturing Team while reporting to the Quality Supervisor. Provides on-the-line quality engineering support, data analysis, preparing product quality documents, assisting in failure investigations, and performing audits.
Generates internal and external customer required quality documents;
Performs internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS);
Tracks and reports metrics related to the QMS and Product Quality;
Assists in data analysis for assigned manufacturing area;
Leads product quality investigations for assigned manufacturing area;
Works with shipping personnel to ensure appropriate quality documentation accompanies each delivery;
Ensures completion of corrective actions for assigned manufacturing area;
Participates in and leads continuous improvement initiatives;
Reviews Quotes and Orders.
Required Skills and Education
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least two (2) years related experience, or the overall equivalent combination of education and related experience including:
Internal Quality Document Review;
Statistical analysis techniques;
Root cause failure analysis;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Attention to detail;
Ability to work with limited supervision;
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Preferred Skills and Education
Preferred, but not required, experience and education includes:
2 years Quality Management System auditing;
American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as Quality Engineer or Auditor;
Bachelors in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
